Do you like baseball? Are you a casual fan who occasionally will ask, “Did the Braves win last night?” Or are you like some of us who are obsessed with the game? Whichever the case, come join us for an in-depth look at what the American pastime is all about. Listen and talk with Dave Bristol who spent over 50 years in baseball as a player, coach and manager in both the minor and major leagues.

David Bristol was an outstanding schoolboy athlete, finishing his high school career at Baylor School for Boys in Chattanooga, TN. He then signed to play football at Georgia Tech, but that spring he signed a contract with the Cincinnati Reds. Dave played the next six years in the minor leagues interrupted by two years in the Army. In 1957 he was named player-manager with Hornell in the N.Y. - Penn League and then, in 1966, he was called up to be third base coach with the “big club” - the Cincinnati Reds. Later that year he became manager - the best day of his life. He continued to manage in the big leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants. He retired in 1990, but still fulfills his love of baseball today by scouting high school and college baseball.
