This course will be a brief study of interesting personalities in the world of music, from the Renaissance to the Twentieth Century.  Emphasis will be placed on composers with the addition of musicians such as pianist Glenn Gould.

 

Dr. Calloway is Associate Professor of Music and Music Department Chair at Young Harris College.  He came to YHC in the fall of 2008 after 21 years at Truett-McConnell College.  Dr. Calloway has B.M.Ed. and M.M.Ed. degrees from Mississippi State University, a M.M. in Vocal Performance from Florida State University, and a D.M.A. in Vocal Performance from the University of Alabama.
