This will be a basic overview of things to think about when preparing and drafting your Will or Trust, including 1) the differences between a Will and Trust; 2) who and what to consider; 3) duties of the Executor or Trustee; 4) basic tax implications; 5) what happens when you don’t have a Will; and 6) what happens to your estate when circumstances change.

 

Kenya Patton was born and raised in Blairsville, GA and graduated from Union County High School and Young Harris College. She finished her undergraduate work at the University of Georgia with a BBA in Finance. She also graduated from Emory University School of Law and is currently working on a Master’s of Finance at Kennesaw State University. She worked with two law firms in Atlanta with a concentration in Business and Real Estate before relocating back to Blairsville where she is now in private practice.
