“The impulse to draw is as natural as the impulse to talk; therefore one does not begin with grammar lessons.” This class will give students a chance to do exercises for hand/eye coordination and for increased powers of observation using nothing more than charcoal and a kneaded eraser on newsprint. Bring your own supplies or purchase them in class at cost. This is a follow-on to Barbara’s spring class. Returning students as well as first-timers, either beginning or advanced, are welcome.
Barb Terrell attended Ringling School of Art in Sarasota FL and extended her education at the Art Students League of New York. She has exhibited in many galleries and done portrait commissions. Teaching credits include drawing, painting and landscape in a private school and drawing classes for adult education and private pre-school. She is currently a painting and drawing teaching assistant with John Mac Kah at John C. Campbell Folk School in Warne, NC.
